October 2026… 

This year has so far had a lot of ups and downs with comic, anime, film and pop culture happenings.  If you aren’t a long time fan of the general, its getting hard to explain to a new comer or an up comer what is actually going on… 

I just wanted to take a second to quote Tame One on Parallel Thoughts, “  Why everybody sound like Jay now?”

Its not that the industry has changed, its that what is getting pushed on us is crushing the artistry in us and leaving the fans exposed. 

When you watched that first Avengers film, it sparked something, stirred something deep.  Sure as hell wasn’t Disney +. 

When DC announced the coming of Justice League, or episode 7 was just days away, the stars weren’t so far away. 

I’m not hating, in fact I am looking forward to Doomsday, I just don’t hope it’s not a premonition or a remission of the mission. Disney just looking for a payday. 

There is still some good stuff out there, it doesn’t have to be a life changer, it just has to be entertaining, like the Masters of the Universe or Brand New Day.

And that is where we at. 

With the consolidation of the studios and curious distribution confusion of network vs. social media vs. legacy vs. our attention span, its easy to get lost in the sauce. 

This is just a moment. A pause, a collective sigh. 

If you are of a certain age, its when Next Gen fell off the air, or Stan Lee met Spiderman.  Its when the TARDIS finally left time and space, and corporation bought the holy trilogy.  Remember when collecting became a chore, looking for a variant of a variant?  The Bratz invasion felling pink domination.  The legendary jump the shark.  When did Toonami disappear?  When a Jaguar wasn’t just a car or the Saturn wasn’t just a planet. What about cable town and Saturday morning toons? 

And that is where we at. 

Its an odd time.  But things will get better, it always ebbs and flows, we’re all just riding the tide. 

Take it easy and stay strong!
